I wanted to get the Anastasia Illuminators so badly but they are very expensive plus how am I gonna get it here in the Philippines? Resellers here grab the chance to get more profit on products like this. It is sold exclusively, popular and on demand. So I never got to lay my hands on any Anastasia product. But thank godfor China for releasing fake ones! hahaha Since I really wanted to have the Illuminators, I got the fake ones. HAHAHA Took the risk but they say its safe and its very cheap so its worth the try.
I ordered So Hollywood but i received Starlight. The fake ones have mislabeled the products. So heres a comparison between the labeling of the original and the fake one:
The left one is the options when you buy the fake one while the right one is the original shades.
On the fake one, you can see how all were completely interchanged with the labels but i dont want to complicate this review because of the mistags so I corrected the tags on this review so we can compare the products easily.
I no longer have the boxes so lets start with the exterior of the product. The photo on the left shows the replicas and the one on the right shows the authentic ones.
They look pretty much the same but the lock on the fake ones are not that firm or strong but it closes though so its not much of a turn off on this replica.
So here's the back part. The photo on the left shows the replicas and the one on the right shows the authentic ones.
You can see how different the colors on the labels. The fake ones only use the same color from Riviera while the original ones' labels differ based on its shade.
Now lets go on the product. The photo on the left shows the replicas and the one on the right shows the authentic ones.
Starlight
So Hollywood
You can see how different the texture between the fake and the original. The replicas' lines are not detailed. Just enough to have shapes while the original ones lines are very, very detailed, crisp and sharp. For the color, the fake Starlight is more white than the original one and for So Hollywood the fake one and original one are identical.
Lets move to the swatches. The photo on the left shows the replicas and the one on the right shows the authentic ones.
Here are some blended swatches. The photo on the left shows the replicas and the one on the right shows the authentic ones.
Both gives the skin a nice glow. The fake So Hollywood is very identical to the original one and I love it!! The fake starlight is whiter than the original one but it's okay, its not too obvious.
The replicas arent that long lasting when I wore it but when I was swatching these, i tried to remove on running water but i was shocked to see that it was still there. Its waterproof I guess? But definitely not oil proof. So to finish this review, I do recommend the replicas. They're a lot cheaper. They're velvety and pigmented. You get a similar glow. I never got irritations after wearing it. Its not itchy or anything so you guys if you cant afford to get the real ones, get these!!!!
